Mini USB Drives
Windows 2000/XP users, and Mac OS X: Your system already supports USB.

1. Start your computer and wait for the operating system to load.

2. Remove the cap from the Mini USB drive and plug it into any USB port on your computer.

       

3. Check to make sure the drive is recognized by your system.
PC users: The Mini USB drive icon will appear in My Computer or Windows Explorer.
Mac users: The Mini USB drive icon will appear on the desktop.

4. The indicator light pulsing slowly means the Mini USB drive is on. A faster pulse means it is transferring data.

CAUTION! Do not remove the Mini USB drive during data transfer. Data loss may occur.

5. The Mini USB drive is ready to use just like any other removable drive connected to your computer. To start using the Mini USB drive, double click on the icon in My Computer, Windows Explorer or on the Mac desktop (See examples below).

Disconnecting the Drive (IMPORTANT)

Before removing the Mini USB drive, make sure the drive is not transferring data.

Windows 2000/XP users: Double click on the Remove Hardware icon on the right side of the taskbar to stop the Mini USB drive, then remove it.

Mac users: Drag the Mini USB drive icon to the trash before removing the drive from the USB port.

Formatting the Drive

To format the Mini USB drive, use the system format utilities on PC or Mac.

CAUTION! All data currently on the Mini USB drive will be erased during format. Copy any information you want to keep from the drive to your hard drive or desktop before formatting. After the format is complete, you can copy the icon back to the drive for convenient access.
