Locks of Love returns to San Jacinto College

Locks of Love and San Jacinto College will host their annual “Share Your Hair” event on April 14 and 15 at the South Campus cosmetology salon.
Participants donating at least eight inches of bleach-free hair will receive free haircuts from the cosmetology department. Monetary donations to Locks of Love will also be accepted. Since 2011, the South Campus cosmetology department has collected 275 locks of hair for the organization.
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.
The South Campus cosmetology salon will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 14 and Tuesday, April 15, and is located in the S. R. Jones Vocational Technical Building (building 13) on the San Jacinto College South Campus at 13735 Beamer Road in Houston. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome.
