San Jacinto College to open season at Galveston Tournament Andrea Vasquez -- January 30, 2014

HOUSTON – The San Jacinto College softball team will head to Galveston College for the season's first tournament. The 2014 Galveston College Invitational begins on Friday, Jan. 31. San Jacinto College will take on McLennan Community College at 11 a.m. and Temple College at 3 p.m. On Saturday, Feb. 1, San Jacinto College opens the tournament at 9 a.m. against Kilgore College. The team also plays at 1 p.m. against Navarro College and 5 p.m. against Independence Community College. All San Jacinto College games will be on Field 1. Tournament passes are available on-site for $10 or entry is $5 per day. Following the tournament, the College returns to Galveston College for a Round Robin on Feb. 3 – 4. San Jacinto College plays Baton Rouge Community College at 10 a.m., Louisiana State University- Eunice at 12 p.m., and Rose State College at 2 p.m. All San Jacinto College games will be on Watson Field. On Feb. 4, the same schedule, opponents, and field location apply. The Galveston College Invitational and Round Robin take place at the Lassie League Softball Complex, located at 2506 83rd Street in Galveston, Texas.
