As the demand for qualified workers continues to grow, the Continuing & Professional Development Division is prepared to meet the challenge by providing training solutions at affordable prices in the desired career fields in the region.
The Division provides training for professionals in marketing and business, IT, applied technologies and trades and health occupations. We assist people and organizations to remain competitive and contribute to the community.
Focusing on the development and advancement of the newly hired and incumbent worker, the Division works with “best in class” vendors such as: Microsoft, Plexus Corporation, AchieveGlobal, Development Dimensions International (DDI), Apollo Associated Services, Inc., Command Spanish and Practice Management Institute (PMI) among others.
In addition, training is provided for the entry level worker, new job seekers, dislocated workers, displaced homemakers, low-wage incumbent workers and those in transition who are interested in fast-track training to secure employment for jobs that are in demand.
Also, we offer English as a Second Language and GED test preparation classes which help an individual’s job performance over time.
Courses start monthly and are featured in our Spring, Summer and Fall schedule books. The majority of this training is presented at our facilities and provides a flexible, dynamic and rewarding experience for individuals and employees of companies and organizations.
