Journalism

Most people are concerned with the news, and they want only the latest. They may get their news from various sources such as newspapers, websites, television, radio, social networking sites, and RSS feeds, but one thing is constant – it takes well-trained journalists to deliver the content. Your training can start at San Jac, our program gives you the opportunity to work on the College’s weekly newspaper, The San Jac Times. Here you will learn the principles of newsgathering, news writing, photojournalism, and desktop publishing. From here you can go on to a four-year university, well prepared for further study in journalism, communications, media, public relations, writing, publishing, photography, and teaching.
