Prior to SJC: Played his high school junior season at Clements High School, where he was the most valuable player of the district. As a senior, played at Fort Bend Marshall, where he helped the team to a 33-3 mark. After being named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state team, Devezin signed with Texas A&M, where he played as a freshman last season.

Gernander on Devezin: “David was one of the state’s top recruits when he signed with A&M. Obviously, he has one year of Big 12 Conference experience, which will help a great deal. He’s just one of those quality point guards who knows how to get the ball around to the scorers and also knows how to generate offense on his own. He’s a hard-nosed player who has a chance to lead the offense for us.”
