4-8 Family and Medical Leave
FMLA Leave:

The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 provides up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave to eligible employees for:

  1. childbirth;
  2. adoption or foster care;
  3. recovery from serious injury;
  4. caring for a seriously ill spouse, son, daughter or parent.

Comprehensive sick leave days, when applicable, will be used concurrently to satisfy leave provided under this act. For more information about The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 or to request written guidance, employees should contact the Human Resource Office.
