5-11 Overload Assignments
A full-time instructor is permitted an overload assignment of one four semester credit hour course (96 contact hours) above the normal instructional assignment of 15-to-16 semester hours (or its equivalent) per semester.

Semester hour credit courses, continuing education courses and contract courses in excess of the normal instructional load will be considered overload assignments. A continuing education course or courses, or a contract course or courses, which meet 60-clock hours or more per semester will constitute more than one overload assignment, and will not be permitted without approval of the Vice Chancellor Instruction.

Adjunct instructors will not be permitted to have a semester hour course, continuing education and/or contract course overload. The required office and classroom duty hours per week must be increased by the number of assigned overload hours per week, and these additional hours must be reflected in the instructor's daily schedule.
