Admission Requirements for Undocumented Immigrants - ESOL
It is the policy of the San Jacinto College District to admit and enroll eligible undocumented immigrants who attend a high school within the State of Texas and resided in the State of Texas for the twelve consecutive months immediately prior to the expected date of enrollment to enroll and be subject to the tuition rate applicable to residents of the State of Texas.  Other undocumented immigrants who meet academic admission requirements will be permitted to enroll but will be subject to the tuition rate applicable to non-U.S. citizens. To be admitted, the student must submit the following:

  1. A completed application for admission.
  2. Official secondary school record and official college or university transcript if applicable. Foreign transcripts must be evaluated by a recognized credential agency and indicate completion of at least a high school diploma that is equivalent to a United States high school diploma. For a list of San Jacinto College approved evaluating services, contact the Admissions Office or the international student advisor.
  3. Proof of competency in English as outlined under the English Proficiency Requirements section of the catalog.

Undocumented immigrants who are enrolling for the first time will be counseled into appropriate level of English, mathematics, and reading based upon their TASP test or approved alternative test scores. See the Residence Status for Tuition Purposes section to determine residency classification.

Póliza para inmigrantes indocumentados

El la póliza del Distrito del Colegio San Jacinto permitir a inmigrantes indocumentados que asisten a una escuela preparatoria dentro de estado de Texas y radican en el estado de Texas por doce meses consecutivos inmediatamente antes de la fecha de inscripción. El precio aplicable será sujeto al de residente del estado de Texas. Otros inmigrantes indocumentados, que llenan los requisitos de admisión se les permitirá inscribirse pero serán sujetos a la inscripción aplicable a ciudadanos no residentes.
