How to Enroll at San Jacinto College
Students are encouraged to complete the application process well before registration begins for the term they plan to attend San Jacinto College for the first time. The steps to complete admission requirements are:
- Application - Apply on-line - It's FREE!
- Transcripts - Request transcripts from hight school or all colleges attended and send/bring them unopened to Enrollment Services
- GED - request transcripts from Texas Education Agency
- Foreign transcripts - documents must be evaluated by an approved evaluation agency. See Enrollment Services for approved list.
- Evaluation - complete Request for Transcript Evaluation Form for credit to transfer and/or take courses with presequisites
- Placement Testing - Meet with a counselor to determind testing needed for enrollment. (May be COMPASS, THEA, ACT, SAT, TAKS).
- English Proficiency - required for individuals whose native language is not English. (See page 16 of catalog for list of exempt countries) (CELSA exam).
- Orientation - We strongly encourage all incoming sutdents to attend NEW STUDENT ORIENTTATION
- Degree Plan - Obtain a degree plan from a counselor
- Financial Aid and Scholarships - Complete the FAFSA form online at fafsa.ed.gove and contact the Financial Adi office with questions.
- International Students - Must see Enrollment Services to pick up the international Sutndent Application packet.
- Departmental Orientation - Required for nursing students and some Allied Health programs.
- Register for classes - Go to www.sanjac.edu and login to SOS! Call us at (281)998-6150 if you have any questions!
Current Continuing Education Students
To access SOS, you must have your Social Security Number or SJC Identification Number and your PIN. The initial PIN will be your birthdate MMDDYY . Please refer to the HELP menu if you need assistance with your PIN.
New Continuing Education Students
If you have never attended San Jacinto College classes (credit or continuing education), if you have never attended San Jacinto College, or you have been out a year or more, you must first apply.
