Prior to SJC: Arlene played for Coach Terry Farrell at Clear Lake High School. As a senior team captain, she was a first team all-district player. 2006 at SJC: Arlene started 23 of 29 games last season at the guard spot, where she averaged 4 points and just over 2 assists and 2 rebounds per game.

About Arlene: Arlene says she chose to attend San Jacinto College because her friends told her it was a great college, and she wanted the chance to play basketball while staying close to home. She lists Alana Beard of the Washington Mystics as her favorite professional role model. Her favorite non-professional role models are her parents, Linda and David Solis. A business major, Arlene hopes to one day operate her own business.
