Lubrizol extends a helping hand to San Jacinto College

PASADENA, Texas – The Lubrizol Corporation donated a plasma television and two Dell servers to the San Jacinto College Central process technology department on Monday, June 9, 2008. The donation was an effort to enhance the training process and keep the College’s graduates on the cutting edge.

In an effort to enhance San Jacinto College’s process technology program, The Lubrizol Corporation donated a plasma television and two servers to the program. “Whether or not their students come and work for us, we want to ensure that San Jacinto College is able to provide their students with the most up-to-date training,” said Michael King, Lubrizol training coordinator.  With the new plasma screen, students can remain in their seats and still view what the professor is doing on the computer. Previously, students had to gather around one 15-inch monitor. The two servers will also enhance student learning by providing the program with the storage capacity to run their training programs with ease.

“We are so grateful for this partnership,” said Dr. Steven Horton, San Jacinto College Central campus dean of technical education. “For years Lubrizol has been a faithful community partner that has been willing to support the needs of our college.”
