QEP contest winners announced
San Jacinto College recently sponsored a contest in which students competed to create a winning logo and tagline for the College’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). QEP emphasizes innovative ways of making books and other course materials (such as online content and manuals) more relevant to class work to improve the comprehension and performance of students. Winning San Jacinto College students include, from left: Javier Valazquez, honorable mention ($10 gift card); Angel Guerra, first place ($100 gift card); Diana Barnett, third place ($25 gift card); and Steve Vestal, second place ($50 gift card). Shown with the students are San Jacinto College administrators Serita Dickey, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools compliance director; Dr. Bill Lindemann, Chancellor; and Laurel Williamson, vice chancellor of instructional programs and services.
