Campus Tours

Whether you’re a high school student, a transfer student, or a student returning after a break from college, taking a campus tour is an important part of your education journey. We also recognize the importance of early conversations about college and careers for younger students. We offer individual and group tours to help students get a feel for everything we have to offer.

Individual tours allow prospective students, their friends, and their supporters to see San Jac like never before! To schedule your individual tour, please select a campus below to see available days and times.

Central Campus North Campus South Campus

Group tours are open for school groups, community groups, and other organizations planning to bring more than 10 people in a single tour. Make sure you check out our Insider's Guide for a rundown on group limits, accessibility, cancellations, and more. Different campuses offer group tours on different days. Please be sure to read the touring schedule for each campus below.

Group Size

Group tours are limited to 50 participants, not including chaperones. Larger groups may need special tour accommodations; arrangements will be considered case-by-case. We will do our best to accommodate your group but cannot guarantee availability. If your group is larger than 50, please contact Stephanie Funderburg, Coordinator of Tours and Events, at stephanie.funderburg@sjcd.edu to discuss your tour request.

Chaperone Expectations

We require one chaperone per 10 students. Chaperones must always remain with their group, including the walking tour on campus. Chaperones are responsible for addressing any behavioral issues of their group while visiting San Jac.

Accessibility

Please indicate if anyone in your group has an accommodation request or special need when filling out your group tour request.

Group Expectations

The group should listen to all directions given by the tour guide, respect the campus buildings and grounds, and be respectful of learning. Students should avoid using electronic devices like cell phones or Air Pods while participating in group tours. The visiting organization will be held responsible for any damages to the facilities incurred by students during their visit.

Weather

Group tours will involve a significant amount of walking. All participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. We also recommend bringing a water bottle.

Scheduling

A minimum of two weeks notice is required to book your tour. If you would like to schedule an individual tour, please see the section on this page labeled Individual.

Tour Cancellations

If San Jac is closed due to weather or campus closure, all tours are automatically canceled. To find out about any campus closures, please call 281-998-6150 or visit our Current Alerts page.
